Norfolk and Suffolk Integrated Care Board (ICB) is seeking a new Non-Executive Member to join its Board and support decisions that affect the health and wellbeing of the 1.7 million people who live across Norfolk and Suffolk.
We’re looking for someone who can bring enthusiasm, independent thinking and valuable local insight, whether through professional or personal experience of healthcare, to help ensure the best possible services for our communities.
The Board is looking for an experienced and passionate leader who can provide independent oversight, constructive challenge and strategic leadership as the ICB continues its work to improve health outcomes, reduce inequalities and deliver high-quality, joined-up care across the region.
Non-Executive Members play a critical role in supporting innovation and improvement, holding the executive team to account, and ensuring that decision-making reflects the needs and priorities of communities across Norfolk and Suffolk. As full members of the Board, they have voting rights on all Board matters and also chair and attend Board committees.
To complement the knowledge and experience of the existing Non-Executive Members, the ICB is particularly keen to recruit a candidate with knowledge of the Norfolk and/or West Suffolk. The current Board already benefits from significant financial expertise among its Non-Executive Members, so this is not essential for the role.
The ICB welcomes applications from people with a wide range of professional backgrounds and lived experiences who can bring independent thinking, strategic insight and a commitment to improving health and care outcomes for local residents.
The role requires a commitment of approximately two to three days per month and offers an annual remuneration of £17,000 for a fixed term of three years.
As the organisation responsible for commissioning NHS services across Norfolk and Suffolk, the ICB manages an annual budget of £4.9 billion and works closely with NHS providers, local authorities, voluntary organisations and local communities to improve care and address health inequalities.
