Services in Norfolk
The Norfolk Learning Disability Service supports adults aged 18+ with a diagnosed learning disability who are registered with a Norfolk GP. It is jointly run by Norfolk County Council and Hertfordshire Partnership Foundation Trust (HPFT).
Services include support with communication, emotional wellbeing, behaviour, mobility, daily living, health conditions, and more.
Support is delivered through five locality teams: Norwich, North, East, West and South Norfolk. The multidisciplinary teams include nurses, psychologists, speech and language therapists, OTs, physiotherapists, dietitians, social workers and healthcare assistants.

Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT)
In Suffolk, services for people with learning disabilities and autistic people are provided by Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust. This includes the primary learning disability and autism liaison team, community learning disability and autism team, as well as intensive support services and inpatient care.
Suffolk County Council
Suffolk County Council provides support to help people live independently via four locality teams (North, South, East and West).
Services include:
- Social work support
- Occupational therapy
- Support planning and personal budgets
- Help to stay independent at home
