Healthcare Travel Costs Scheme

Not using the HTG UK patient transport service?

The Healthcare Travel Costs Scheme helps patients on qualifying benefits or the NHS Low Income Scheme reclaim reasonable travel costs when they are referred for specialist NHS treatment or diagnostic tests.

It applies only when the appointment is on a separate visit from the referral and does not cover routine primary care visits, such as GP check‑ups or vaccinations.

Visit the NHS website to learn more about the Healthcare Travel Costs Scheme.
