Volunteering Discovery is a podcast about how volunteering helps health and care across Norfolk and Suffolk.
We want to show that volunteering in health and care is about much more than making cups of tea. That role matters, but volunteers also help in many other ways that people may not expect.
In the first series, we visit hospitals, local communities, and people’s homes to see how volunteering supports health and wellbeing. You’ll hear from volunteers and staff working in the NHS and voluntary organisations. Some are part of large teams, while others work in smaller groups that support people with shared experiences.
Volunteering is different for everyone. Through real stories, we explore what it’s like to volunteer, how people get started, and why they choose to keep giving their time.
In later episodes, we link these stories to the Volunteering for Health project and share ways local people can get involved and make a difference.
If you’re curious about how volunteering supports health and care in our region, this podcast is for you.
